John is the main character of The Witness by James Jauncey
One minute John is an ordinary teenager living in the highlands and the next thing he knows he’s seen a terrible slaughter and found the son (who has fragile x) of the leader of the resistance who’s fighting for the freedom of the country because the government are taking over all the land and the most land you’re allowed to own is one acre. If you read this book I swear that you will enjoy it as much as I have (Trust me because I enjoyed it a lot!!!!!!!!).
Salim and Adam are the main characters of Crusade written by Elizabeth Laird
Adam is an English crusader who joins the fight for freedom at the age of 14 when his mother dies.
Salim is a Arabian boy who lives in Acre until he finds out that the crusader army are coming towards him and his father forces him to go with a Jewish doctor who sets out with him but is picked up as a doctor for the Saracen army.
Later Adam finds out that his lord is actually his father and he inherits a forest and a manor called Brockwood. This is also another great book because it was a great learning experience of what people would be like back then.
Jimmy Hicks is the main character of Bunker 10 by J A Henderson
Jimmy is a genius who has the IQ off the scale and he lives in a military base in Pennygrove with other geniuses who are all under the age of 16. But when a science experiment goes wrong and one of them disappears, a war starts around them, they are plunged into fighting, battling their wits against the genius who went missing and was affected by the experiment. If you read any of these books and don’t enjoy them I’ll give you a £100 (Joke, I don’t have that much money).
